Product Review

So far I love this phone

by   nancala ,   Aug 3, 2006

Pros:  Corded in a Cordless world. Sleek and compact design.

Cons:  Display hard to get just right.

The Bottom Line:  If you are ever faced with a choice between this phone and another, get this one, you won't be sorry.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

I bought this phone in Walmart ($28.87) 3 days ago and so far I am extremely happy with it. I wanted a clock/radio/caller id all in 1 phone to save space on my nighttable by my bed. I also wanted it to be corded in case there were any electrical problems. I had a previous GE cordless that lasted ages until the touchtone pad wore down and the buttons didn't work anymore.

My eyes aren't the greatest, so I love the large display. I agree that it's hard to get the digital display brightness/darkness just right. Too bright makes the whole room light up in the dark and too light is hard to read. But that is minor to me. The sound quality is great, the radio plays fine (manual tuner). I tested the alarm, that works fine. I like how you can adjust the snooze to go off anywhere from 1 to 9 minutes later. It also has a dual alarm (haven't tried that out yet).

The cord that goes from the headset into the phone is in an odd place, in the middle of the back of the phone, so that is a bit strange when you pick up the receiver, but also---minor. Would be better on the left or right side of the phone.

It looks nice on the nighttable...compact and sleek. It was very easy to install and figure out. One line to the phone, one plug to the electrical outlet.

I think this phone is a great buy and very handy to have. I highly recommend it to anyone.
