The Bottom Line: A great movie that tells an important story.
I really enjoyed this movie as did my children aged 10, 10 and 12. I original saw it in a theatre and knew nothing about it. I have since rented the DVD and recently purchased a copy to lend to friends. The movie is about a trust fund 20 year old whose deceased grand-father leaves him a series of gifts that he must earn in order to claim his inheritance. The gifts help to teach the young man and the audience about some basic values that each of us should hold dear but that we sometimes put on the back-burner. The movie is a blend of comic moments, action/suspense as well as being a tearjerker. It is very well acted, the scenery is impressive and the story line flows well. It does not rely on star power or special effects, but tells an entertaining story, one that left me saying WOW. It is a refreshing change from many of the films made today. I wish that there was a sequel to this movie. I have shared this movie with many friends who have all been impressed by the message that it imparts. I would absolutely recommend this movie if you can find it.
