Everything You Love About This Series is in This Book

This is definitely one of my favorite in the Pendragon series. This is the fourth book by DJ MacHale that follows the life of a Traveler named Bobby Pendragon. Can Bobby keep winning or is he destined to fail?

In this fourth book, Bobby is on a territory named Veelox. This territory is more advanced than second earth where Bobby is from. They have mastered Holographic technology and most people in this society live in a virtual reality world. Unfortunately, the world is falling in around them because they won't come out of their virtual worlds to run the world. Will anything draw these people out? Will Saint Dane finally win his first territory?

This is an exciting episode in this series and as I already said one of my favorites. I enjoy reading about a virtual reality world. Sometimes it feels like that's the direction that we are headed in. This will definitely show you some of the pitfalls of that type of society. We get to read about a traveler named Aja who is a very colorful and opinionated character. There are also some scenes that take place in this virtual world that are fascinating, inventive and just plain fun. This one will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.

Everything I love about this series is in this book. Exciting new worlds. Colorful, fun characters. Interesting technologies. Action-packed fun! The idea of a traveler is still confusing in this book, but I believe that it is progressive. If you just hang in there long enough, you'll read more and more about what exactly Bobby and Saint Dane are. MacHale's plan seems to be to reveal only a little bit at a time.
