Pros: Smart rhymes, good beats, authentic style that tends to be missing in much of modern hip-hop.
Cons: None that are particular to these artists.
Review: I am finding myself reviewing my 6th hip-hop album for Epinions even though I have never in the past considered myself a rap fan. I would listen to hip-hop here and there, but it has never been (nor is it now) my primary musical interest. Nevertheless,...

Pros: Shows Hip Hop's capability of diversity.
Cons: I didn't find any...
The Bottom Line: Dilated Peoples has redefined the standards for real hip hop and is most definatly a group we should all keep our eyes open for.
Review: Hip hop culture has manged to influence almost every element in our society. Explicated through sports, movies, clothing and listened to by urban kids as well as suburban kids, hip hop evidently plays a role in American entertainment and culture....

Pros: Tight beats, tight rhymes, just over all great album.
Cons: Egotistical rap gets a litle tiresome.
Review: I have to say that Dilated Peoples has been the best thing that has happened to rap since 2pac or the late great B.I.G. From their first performance with Rage Against the Machine in Oakland I was hooked.
Dropping tight beats and even tighter... |

Pros: read on
Cons: read on
Review: Well some of you may know that the Dilated crew, evidence;iriscience; and dj babu, has been around for quite some time now lurking in the west coast underground scene. In fact a good third of the songs have been released on vinyl over the past couple...

Dilated Peoples - Its not easy to reach this Platform |
|||
|
Pros: Dope Production, Ill Lyrics, Unbelievable Guest Appearances
Cons: Lack of Creative Subject Matter, Few True Classics
The Bottom Line: Definetely overrated... but nevertheless... very ill. Dilated Peoples' bring nostalic, braggadiocio hip-hop to the west with The Platform.
Review: Dilated Peoples are one of the most respected, yet relatively unknown groups from the west coast. Straying away from the cadillac cars and thuggish lyrics that typically makes up west coast lyricism, the team of DJ Babu, Evidence, and Rakaa ...

Pros: good beats, great rhymes
Cons: a little too full of themselves
The Bottom Line: With a little bit of fine tuning Dilated Peoples could be great.
Review: As many of you know, I hate most mainstream hip-hop. I dont hate it because its mainstream, I hate it because most of it is bad, unimaginative, trite, fake-thug sh*t. Dilated Peoples are another group to emerge on the hip hop scene from the Los Angeles...

Pros: creative rhymes, DJ Babu does a great job, overall excellent music
Cons: song structure varies little, a couple of songs with a definite topic would be nice
The Bottom Line: Overall, the album is excellent and I recommend it wholeheartedly. The beats and rhymes are awesome. Definitely worth checking out.
Review: Dilated Peoples is an underground Los Angeles hip-hop group that is starting to gain popularity. Most people know them from their album "The Platform", which showcased the talented MCing abilities of Evidence and Iriscience (pronounced "ah-rah-science";...

Pros: good sound
Cons: not enough of it
Review: In October I went to a Rage Against the Machine concert, having no idea whatsoever that there would be 2 opening groups. All it said on the ticket was Gang Starr and Rage Against the Machine. I was like who is Gang Starr? I got to the concert really...

Pros: Dope rhymes and beats, an awsome DJ from the beat junkies, DJ Babu
Cons: If u don'y understand Hip-Hop u wont like it.
The Bottom Line: Please buy this album if you are into hip-hop. If you would like to the artform of battle raps in hip-hop grab a hold of this album.
Review: These guys are an awsome group. With Evidence, (Rakaa)Iriscience and DJ Babu from the beat junkies they prove that they are one of the best hip-hop groups. They are part of the up and comming west coast true hip-hop along with the Visonaries, Swollen...

Pros: Some cursing
Cons: Drab and dumb. Not entertaining or interesting in the least.
Review: This is one of the most boring rap CDs I have ever heard. These guys are great live, but all their live concert energy is just sucked away by lackluster production and dull, fluffy, self-obsessed lyrics. I mean, these guys are supposedly from "the...
