Pros: Writing style, characters, author, great climax

Cons: Predictable, "terrible secret" not so terrible

The Bottom Line: This is a great book to polish up on on a rainy day, and it would be great to read to a teenager aloud.

Review: Many people like Paul Zindel for his writing style, not for the tales that he tell. I now like him for both.
