The Office is one of the best.

Date of Review:  Mar 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: It might take a while to grow on you but once it does, you will be hooked.
Review: While watching the Golden Globe Awards a while back I was surprised to see that the BBC hit show The Office was included in the nominees for Best Comedy/Drama.
I had my fingers and toes crossed that it would win and blow me down ... it did...

The Funniest Thing You're Not Watching: The Office, Season One

Date of Review:  Dec 29, 2003
The Bottom Line: ...
Review: Everybody has known a David Brent in their lives. For those supremely unlucky ones, they have actually had him as a boss. He's easy to spot from miles away. He's the guy who wants to be your friend first, and your boss second. He overhears your...

The Office: Season One (British)

Date of Review:  May 16, 2005
The Bottom Line: This is one of the funniest things to come out of the UK since Monty Python.
Review: The Office is a six-part British comedy television show made to look like a documentary about a bunch of office workers. It was recently remade into an American version starring Steve Carrell from Comedy Central's The Daily Show. This is witty...

while I'm down here in the office, with little starving kids

Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: I listened to the new Doves album "Some Cities" while writing this review
Review: "The Office" nails human behavior, sans laugh track, with deadpan British accents. Think the 1999 film "Office Space" meets the 1984 classic "This is Spinal Tap." The jokes fly in so quickly, so subtly, that you'll pick up on lines and nonverbal...

So real but so funny

Date of Review:  May 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: Not everybody will like it but everybody should see it.
Review: Some friends of mine recommended the series to me since they know I'm a fan of British humor and that I like "weird" humor. Their recommendation plus the fact that the series won two Golden Globe awards persuaded me to buy this series on DVD. This...

The Office From Hell

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: The best British sort-of-sitcom written in the last five years
Review: The Office is the one of the first DVD's I rushed out to get - and one of the only things I am happy to watch time after time. Written in the style of a documentary, it's a comedy with no jokes. The Office is quite simply genius.

Anyone...

High on the Hogg

Date of Review:  Aug 9, 2004
The Bottom Line: This is the latest in a long line of great British Comedies. Give it a try....what's the worse that can happen.
Review: Our cousins across the pond have hit upon yet another hit with their series "The Office". Filmed in the style of a doctumenary, the series follows the daily lives of the employees of Wernham Hogg. Two figures that stand out in the cast are David...

Hot love highway....

Date of Review:  Apr 29, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is just brilliant - watch it and see why it won an Emmy
Review: If you're thinking of watching this or the US version please, please I beg you watch this first! This is the original British version and in my humble opinion far more clever and funny.

Ricky Gervais is brilliant as boss David Brent who...

Wickidly Funny Sitcom about English Work Life

Date of Review:  Feb 2, 2004
The Bottom Line: Funny - sad - send up of office life. Some have said this is depressing but it's more funny than depressing. Sort of like watching a train wreck!
Review: God - this was so realistic I winced then laughed then winced some more. Set in a middle class English office - this program really does a good send up of the absurdities of office/cube life.

Where to start...the boss is a total...

Slacking Off in "The Office"

Date of Review:  Oct 17, 2005
The Bottom Line: A nearly flawless British comedy presented in mockumentary format which conceals a romantic sub-plot. Very entertaining and clever, but over-reliant on low quality sexual humor.
Review: There are at least 4 different places here on Epinions for writing a review of BBC Video's The Office: The Complete First Series, The Complete Second Series, Series 1 & 2, and The Collection.

Since the other listings don't have photos of...
