Bill's Viewpoints Hit Home!

by   Dunkjam ,  Apr 20, 2001
Pros: Bill O'Reilly is a very well-read man and is very knowledgeable on his topics!
Cons: A few chapters are a little boring!
The Bottom Line: I recommend this book to those who want the truth, the facts and want to be entertained! Be prepared for a fast paced reading book!
Review: I ordered this book from Amazon.com and I was very happy to finally get to read it. To tell you the truth, I think I have heard several of his viewpoints that he writes about already on his popular "The O'Reilly Factor" which can be seen on the FoxNews...

COMMON SENSE

by   kirbylee ,  Sep 29, 2003
Pros: Everyone comes away with something to use in everyday life.
Cons: Can't think of one.
The Bottom Line: Life lessons for those who have even thought they knew it all.
Review: In some areas, to admit that you are conservative or lean towards conservative viewpoints can lead to disapproval and even ostracism. The reasons given are that conservatives are intolerant of others. How odd it is then that those who claim this are intol ...

The O’Reilly Factor Food For Thought

by   imm476 ,  Jan 7, 2005
Pros: Gets you thinking
Cons: too short
The Bottom Line: Well worth the read
Review: This book is well worth the read, even if you don’t necessarily agree with what he has to say, this book will defiantly give you something to think about. Unlike similar books , the writing style of this book is very easy going, almost like someone ...

The self-proclaimed independent man shares his views

by   Jickybob ,  Jun 14, 2003
Pros: The Undeniable, unbelievable truth, Great Motivational book on the issues of life
Cons: Some chapters may not apply to all People
The Bottom Line: If you want to know how the staunch independent New Yorker feels about the issues that everyone faces in life, with a no spin approach, read this book
Review: Note to the Reader: From page 1 to page 214, you will have all your thoughts, feelings, and opinions challenged. You may express your opinion, but if the author does not agree with you, then you better have the facts to back up your opinion, because he...

O'Really O'Reilly?

by   PMellEagle ,  Jan 31, 2001
Pros: The same feel and flavor of O'Reilly's popular FOX-News nightly broadcast.
Cons: The same feel and flavor of O'Reilly's popular FOX-News nightly broadcast.
The Bottom Line: O'Reilly's perspective is solid as it comes to Americans and their way of life. A must read for fans; an interesting read for anybody.
Review: Sometimes when you really anticipate reading a book, you are disappointed. This was not one of those times!

I had heard of Bill O'Reilly before; in fact during the recent Presidential campaign season, he became a nightly fixture on my...

The honesty factor

by   hatflipper ,  Jan 14, 2002
Pros: This is a new concept in journalistic writing called honesty.
Cons: I can't register any negative print in the direction of the book.
The Bottom Line: If I were a stock broker I would be calling all my clients and saying that this book is a strong buy.
Review: Bill O 'Reilly is like a breath if fresh air to the field of journalistic writing in that he deals with issues in an honest form. His candor is sharp and at the same time jocular as he covers a plethora of controversial topics. This is a book that...

Controversial and Thought-Provoking

by   spend-or-save ,  Mar 14, 2001
Pros: It's an interesting reflection on life in the United States.
Cons: You may be put off by his strong opinions.
The Bottom Line: You're either going to love him or hate him but you won't be able to put this book down!
Review: I received this book as a present. At first, I wasn't sure that I would be interested in it. However, my interest rapidly piqued as I began reading the inside cover. Billy O'Reilly, host of one of a highly rated interview show, doesn't mince...

Common sense rules, for the most part.

by   bfain3901 ,  Jul 16, 2003
Pros: I agree with most things Bill has to offer.
Cons: I don't agree with "everything" he has to offer.
The Bottom Line: If you want to cut the fecal matter from your news diet, tune into "The Factor".
Review: Most people would have to either love Bill O'Reilly or hate him. I may be one of the few that is so ...

"The reason factor"

by   jordan_tar ,  Jun 5, 2003
Pros: Pretty darn good, overall
Cons: Some sloppy thinking
The Bottom Line: Not bad at all! O'Reilly knows what he's talking about, and he doesn't demonize or preach.
Review: Let's get one thing straight: I have no respect whatever for Bill O'Reilly's visual persona. In several interviews (Jeremy Glick and Kim Gandy, for instance, not to mention his confrontation with Al Franken at a recent publishers' convention), O'Reilly...

Liberal or Conservative?

by   Klaxon_Oil ,  May 1, 2005
Pros: Good insights on sex, class, technology, business, and religion.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Perhaps one of the better written books by a not so liberal yet not so conservative author.
Review: This is the perfect book for breaking down the society in which we live in and analyzing it to his hearts content. Bill does an excellent job in explaining his cases and describing his own feelings and thoughts. With analyzing he breaks down and allows ...
