Stalwart Of The Left

Sometimes it seems as if The Nation has been around forever. It is the preeminent magazine of the American left, and has been for decades.
The articles in The Nation are well written, if at times a bit dense to wade through. Of course that cannot be helped considering the subject matter.
I find the Nation to be fascinating reading, giving a very clear view of how and what the American Left is thinking. It covers all aspects of public policy, as well as news and events.
If the Nation has a major drawback, or flaw, it is that on occaision the logic in one of the articles will seem in some way flawed. I have noticed this several times. However, on the whole The Nation is a fine magazine, and should be on the reading list of everyone interested in politics and culture, whether they be on the left, or on the right and interested in getting both sides.
