Should we get some mothballs to get rid of this Mothman?

The Mothman Prophecies-I don't know if you've done your research on this mysterious illusion of a mothlike creature, but he or it, does exist and this movie is based on an actual event in a small town called Point Pleasant. Richard Gere makes the movie better and if you love jumpy scenes, this is for you! But don't expect to go to bed to scared to sleep, for it wasn't too scary. I felt it should of showed more of the Mothman and not just his voice and a split second or two of him darting at his victim.
It starts with Richard Gere's character, John Klein, is taken by surprise when his wife starts having a series of visions that the doctors think is related to her illness, but soon after, he finds out that others in Point Pleasant,which he ends up at some how, have also seen the visions of the Moth-Man. An tall demonic shape with glowing red eyes and large black wings.
He finds out these visions are telling them to expect disaster in Point Pleasant.

Laura Linney plays the local sheriff who just wants her little town back to normal and can't understand why her town is being turned upside down. Raised there, people come to her because she's their Connie.
John and Connie try to track down this Mothman and find out what he's all about meet people who had their own visions or encounters with the Mothman.
I'm not one who likes the blood and gore type of horror and was pleased to see that there were none of the slashing and head chopping in this movie. Kind of like the Six Sense type of movie where it makes you think after you and the rest of the audience jump out of your seats. I must say, the ending of the film is the best part of the whole movie and the parts leading to it keep you entertained enough to stay to see it.
So, if you are curious about this obviously well known creature(though, I didn't know about it till the film originally came out)rent this tape to give you a little tidbit about it and then search the Internet for some very interesting information-and don't go out alone at night!
