Not what I call my basic book

I love Martha Stewart, my friends tease me and say I'm just like her, but this book can be called anything but basic. When I got it I was so excited I thought this is a great idea. But when I got into reality I was very disappointed.

Every time I go looking for a basic recipe like crepes or waffles I never find this book to be basic it is always a much more complex recipe for these basics.

Not that that is all that bad its nice to have a variety on some of the basics but usually when I am looking its not a good time to change or vary the basics. Basics need not be complicated or call for unusual ingredients. I'm sorry but my kitchen is not as stocked with extra ingredients. Not to say I won't go out and get unusual things when i am making something special, but not on a daily basis.

It may be old fashioned but I still go to my Betty Crocker cook book when looking for basic recipes.

We love you Martha but stick to the entertaining not the every day!
