What planet is she living on?

With todays busy work schedules and raising families, most woman(and men)don't have time to worry about cooking. There are cookbooks that offer fast recipes, microwave recipes, no-cook, recipes and many others. Martha Stewarts Cookbook is in a class all its own!

Who in the world has the time...or patience to make anything out of this book? My old college roommate was(and is) Martha Stewart reborn. She is the only person I know or have known who has ever made anything (successfully) out of this book. Most recipes call for ingredients that you must travel to timbucktwo for and that do not come with a cheap price tag. Recipes call for explicit attention to detail and usually have an outrageous preparation time. If you can actually find the ingredients and are able to prepare them, cooking time is rarely short. Try getting your 6 year old to eat something out of that book!

In reality most of us need quick and easy meals to fix for our families. The average person does not have hours to prepare meals. Although alot of Martha Stewarts recipes sound incredible, the reality of me ever making any of them are slim to none.

This cookbook would be wonderful for anyone having a formal gathering or dinner party. Some recipes would be wonderful for holidays. Basically this is not your typical everyday cookbook. If Martha Stewart conciders this her "every day" cookbook, I'd like to see her make something in it with 3 screaming kids and a grouchy husband nagging from behind!!
