Pros: His flow, introspection, intelligence, and obvious status as "the honky who pulled it off".
Cons: So over-the-top that it gets almost ridiculous. Skits are shit, no matter who does 'em.
The Bottom Line: I'm not even sure I want to hear anything else by Eminem. More of same would be redundant, but anything less than this devastation would surely disappoint.
Review: Alright. I finally caved in and gave the Em a chance, though Ive historically given white rappers as much or more short shrift as anybody out there. Still, I found the Eminem tracks on the 8 Mile Soundtrack oddly appealing, so I figured it ...

Pros: the writing, production and storytelling
Cons: can be the same as above
Review: It has been a long time coming. After N.W.A hit the scene in the late 80's and changed the face of rap everyone wanted to be like them, rap like them and live the life the they claimed to live. For the first half of the next decade the west coast for the...

Pros: Unique, entertaining, excellent production and lyricism
Cons: sometimes goes a little overboard
The Bottom Line: Eminem at his finest
Review: Nobody, not even Dr. Dre and Eminem themselves expected The Slim Shady LP to sell as well as it did. Eventually reaching 5x Platinum status it was the album that solidified Dres Aftermath Entertainment as the new hip hop powerhouse and made the ...

Pros: awesome rapping skills, wonderful beats, D-12 songs, hip-hop
Cons: none really...
The Bottom Line: The Marshall Mathers LP is a funny album with creative songs, great beats, and definitely one of my best rap albums ever.
Review: This is my 1st write-off I have ever participated in, so I'll try to make it a good one. This is on a 4 or 5 star album. Special thanks to GasJocket214 for having a brilliant idea of making this awesome write off.

Pros: He has some serious skills...The beat and the rhyme and everything else all comes together with perfection on this album
Cons: Clearly not intended for youngsters, even though they seem to be targeted
Review: Ok, not really...but there are some similarities...but we will get to that.
Generally I stay away from music reviews...because music is a very personal thing. This may sound melodramatic, but the music you listen to defines a lot of your... |

Pros: Just about everything, production, lyrics, subject matter, classic after classic
Cons: One weak track, some unessicary skits
The Bottom Line: Eminem was at his most ripe stage at this point, he delivers a performance of a lifetime.
Review: When Eminem burst onto the hip hop scene in early 1999, no one could have predicted the success that he would come to see. His mainstream debut, The Slim Shady LP, received rave reviews and it elevated him to amazing heights. He scored a home run with ...

Pros: Em proves he's one of hip-hop's most compelling MCs; Dre's production perfectly complements his style.
Cons: Some weaker tracks in the second half.
The Bottom Line: An excellent album, though if you're not that familiar with Em I'd recommend listening to some non-single songs before buying.
Review: Let me just start this review by saying that I don't consider Eminem some kind of genius in terms of lyrical content. Most songs on this LP are variations on a similar theme -- namely, Eminem responding to people who blasted his smash debut The Slim ...

Pros: The lyricism is consistently amazing, nice beats, creative song ideas (see: "Stan").
Cons: Some forgettable guest appearances, a disgusting skit.
The Bottom Line: Eminem's an undeniably superior rapper, and the producers (Dr. Dre, Bass Brothers, etc.) do a fine job. Despite the profanity, this is a must-have, worthy of least 4.5 stars.
Review: Eminems massively successful 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP begins with an intro called Public Service Announcement 2000 in which Ems publicist lashes out at the world. Slim Shady does not give a f**k what you ...

Pros: Eminem's unsurpassed lyrical skill over rock-solid production...combined, an epic masterpiece.
Cons: None. This is a very candid look into one of hip-hop's most brilliant psyches.
The Bottom Line: The Marshall Mathers LP is the blueprint of a modern-day classic. It's the album that forced America to shutup and listen...
Review: Nobody saw Eminem coming --- nobody. With his introduction into the hip-hop mainstream on The Slim Shady LP (1999), he ignited a small wildfire deep in the heart of conservative America. A highly-successful and controversial solo debut, ...
