Is it worth going the Longest Yard for this??
Pros:
Nelly, Akon, T.I., couple more celebrities and most production.
Cons:
...but with a pretty bad celebrity list and with a bad execution.
The Bottom Line:
Not worth the longest yard.

Author's Review
As I have no idea how to introduce my review, I'll let this settle:
If I could fly away, I wouldn't come back no more. I'd turn around, Just to see you for the last time. See, now I know, that it won't be easy. I done fought in a battle, and I done made it this far. I gotta few more feet, but its still the longest yard Nelly--Fly Away

As Nelly being on of the stars in the movie The Longest Yard, you can guess that he would be on the soundtrack. Nelly appears on two tracks Errtime, Fly Away and Nelly has one duet with WC with Whip Yo A$$. Errtime is the lead single off the soundtrack which features a bouncy and Nellish melody which is a club track with a juggling drums that the ladies will jiggle to while Fly Away is Nelly's ballad for the album which features a nice and smooth acoustic guitar and a piano. A track that makes you think and follow along the song as Nelly truly gets you a bit choked up about he's preaching. Both track features Nelly doing his thing which has Nelly rapping with smooth and fast-paced vocals while Fly has that smooth and easy-to-follow-along vocals. Now, Nelly does have a track that features him just doing the chorus that is with WC titled Whip Yo A$$ which features a more par average track. Mainly because of WC who can't act worth a damn while Nelly backs him up in the chorus and wow! What a difference between the two! Nelly really gets the win! With a very whippy production for this track with pinball sounds, they aren't too special and one of the least impressive tracks.
Following Nelly features Lil Wayne in Shorty Bounce. A very annoying track that features Lil Wayne rapping away like a teenager who hasn't gotten through puberty yet. Although nice production in this track with a powerful hip-hop bass. Following him is T.I. with Bounce Like This. A very impressive track which has T.I. rapping excellent with emotion and gangsta while a similar You Don't Know Me melody backing him up. After T.I.'s turn, here comes Big Gripp with his Let Em Fight which features Big Gripp's raps being so annoying and so understandable, it's hardly impressive but the production is a bit impressive as it has that mood for a huge fight with a deep and powerful hip-hop bass that has horns blowing.
Following that group comes Murphy Lee and his duo with STOMP which features a strong production with its powerful and heavy hip-hop bass which makes you STOMP! The trio's vocals are average overall while the lead is impressive with his Nelly version of himself while the other two are okay but the track would have been better with Murphy and Prentiss Church. After that, Akon decides to join the album but is he any good? Hell yes! With his So Fly, Akon totally makes him so fly with its tight production that features a mellow and soft hip-hop bass. Akon does his rapping thing well as he makes his voice echo through the song which is nice. Completing this list is 216 with their U Should Know. Actually, you should know that this track is very badly executed. It seems 216 can't rap either while they try their best but fail as they are medicore and honestly ain't worth a damn with their so-called tough gangsta rapping. The production is pretty good though with its powerful hip-hop bass with a hint of early 90s' underground rap bass.
Setting this list off is Chamillionaire featuring David banner with their Talking That Talk. I was very surprised that I like this track so much as Cham does his tough and rough gangsta rapping while David doing the chorus and one verse or so with his smooth vocals. The production isn't nothing special as it just has a sharp hip-hop bass with an excellent electric guitar in the background(totally awesome there) and whistles. The whistles need to go while the bass could be lowered down or completely changed! Taylor Made decides to appear with his Datz On My Mama. A very nice production with a taste of Nelly in it with a Derrty lick with a sharp and melodic hip-hop bass with sharp clip of clashes. Another track that I was surprised to like. Maybe because it has a bit of Derrty ENT in it or it might be the way Taylor raps with his vocals. Imagine Nelly plus Lil' Wayne.
Completing the entire album comes TrillVille with his Infultrate. A track with an awful production that is annoying and childish with its piano technical sounds with its extremely weak bass. Also, Trill also gets his rapping awful as he tries to be hardcore gangsta which in return fails miserably as he raps childish trying to stretch the words out. An awful track with everything bad about it! At the end of the album, who do we get: D12 with Eminem and their My Ballz. Technically, thinking of Eminem on the track, I knew this was destined to fail. I like Eminem but seriously it is too much like D12's My Band. With the extremely similar production with a nice bass though. Rappings are okay, but seriously Eminem really ruins it as he turns his voice into several sounds. Him saying My Ballz is extremely screechy! D12 is hardly even heard as they appear early but Eminem totally takes over and really ruins the track entirely.
Bottom Line:
Nothing can compare on so much how this soundtrack could have been so better than it was but seriously, we can't have everything that we want. Nelly made my day as I knew he would do his thing in justice. I was wondering what would Akon bring to this CD and actually, he's song is one of the highlights while T.I. does his song justice as well. I did find some surprising songs that I can't doubt that I enjoyed but they are seriously few and a bit far between. You can either go see the movie or get the soundtrack. Seriously, the soundtrack isn't the longest yard to go running for.
Great Music To Play While: Saying to yourself in dismay that you shouldn't have traveled the longest yard to get this.
