Adam Sandler And Chris Rock Take Out Some Prison Guards In 'The Longest Yard'

=Plot=
Paul Crewe is famous for playing football. Now that he has quit the game because he took money to lose a game on purpose, he is living cozy up in his mansion with his irritating girlfriend. All of the parties and all of the fake friends are really getting to Paul though and he starts to hate his life. He always fantasizes about going back to the football field and when his girlfriend makes him mad one night he locks her in a closet and takes her expensive car out for a little drinking and driving. Getting pulled over and eventually arrested, he earns himself time in prison. The warden is glad Paul is coming to his prison because he can get him to play football with the inmates so the guards will have some challenge in the upcoming prisoners versus guards game. Paul accepts and when the guards learn that he is making their game harder they try to punish him and make his life miserable in prison but Paul never gives up. Before the game they set Paul up to make it look like he murdered one of his fellow inmates and best friends, The Caretaker. They tell Paul to throw the game or they'll give him more time in prison. Now it's up to Paul to decide, will he lose the game on purpose and leave prison early or will he win victoriously and spend more time in prison than he was supposed to?

=Actors/Actresses=
Adam Sandler plays Paul Crewe and he does a stand up job in this movie. I love his attitude and how he doesn't give up no matter how hard the guards make things for him. Burt Reynolds plays the coach in the prison, Nate Scarborough and he does alright in a few scenes (like near the end when he decides to get back in uniform) but stinks in others and is just in the movie because he played in the first 'Longest Yard'. Rapper Nelly is also in this movie as Megget, one of the fastest men on the field. He shines as he streaks across attacker and blocker alike and scores one touchdown after another. There's also Chris Rock as The Caretaker and he says line after line of funny material and makes me laugh everytime his mouth opens. I also love how they put professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin in the movie as one of the guards and I love how he reacts to everyone on the football field. Then there's another wrestler named Goldberg and he is on the prisoner's team. I like how they included him and Stone Cold together in the same movie and I love how Goldberg has talent on screen just as he does in a wrestling ring. Altogether this movie had a great cast except for a few scenes with Burt Reynolds.

=My Opinion=
This movie was great. i had a good time watching it and I really rooted for the prisoners to come out victorious. I like how Adam Sandler plays his role and how he at first has no friends in the prison but near the end everyone accepts him. I also like Chris Rock's part because of all the times he made me chuckle and grin and I hated the part where he died. Stone Cold was also amazing (although I didn't like it when he kept calling Nelly the 'N' word) and I think the movie could have been better if Burt Reynolds had been taking out. The story was one that made you actually root for Paul Crewe and want to see him succeed. I also think they did a good job portraying how prison looks and feels and I like the way all the prisoners came together to take out the guards. A good movie all around.
