Family Guy - Volume 1: Seasons 1 & 2

When I first heard that FOX was cancelling FAMILY GUY, I couldn't believe it. The show was, by far, the funniest show I had ever seen, and I wasn't going to be able to watch it anymore. Then I heard about the first two seasons of Family Guy coming out on DVD, so I had to get it immediately. And I did, for about 40 bucks. I watched it all weekend, laughing at every small joke. This show is filled with hilarious, random jokes that make no sense whatsoever, while being littered with tons of jokes that were derived from something, such as movies. This show is the perfect TV show. It's got absolutely NO flaws.

This particular DVD collection contains 4 discs, with about 7 episodes per disc. Every episode is HILARIOUS. Not just funny, but HILARIOUS!

The very best parts of the show are the flashbacks. It happens several times per episode where a character has a flashback, and those flashbacks are ALWAYS hilarious.

PETER GRIFFIN, the main character of the show, is presented perfectly. He's a lazy, overweight person with a very low intelligence, and he often times acts as a child. LOIS GRIFFIN, PETER's wife, is the housewife who tries desperately to keep PETER in line. She yells at him in about every episode. BRIAN, the family's dog, acts just like a human and a dog at times. He is very intelligent, and often has very dry, yet funny, humor that's usually sarcastic. BRIAN also likes to tag along with PETER a lot, often proving PETER wrong about things. CHRIS and MEG, teenage brother and sister, act as typical teens. Well, at least MEG does. Chris is usually presented as a very dimwitted child. STEWIE is the baby who is capable of speaking like an adult, using large, sophisticated words. He also wants his mother, LOIS, to die. He tries many different things to kill her throughout the series. Other characters include QUAGMIRE, CLEVELAND, and JOE, PETER's friends. A very funny group of people.

Overall, this series beats any TV series. It's the funniest show ever, and it will keep you laughing and wanting to see another episode. The PERFECT show!
