Family Guy: Better Than The Simpsons?
Date of Review: Aug 4, 2003
The Bottom Line: Even with a few drawbacks, this box set is worth anybody's money except those with no senses of humor. They deserve to be shot.
This is the funniest animated show ever made. What about Sout Park? What about the Simpsons? Yes, this is better. The most memorable character in this series about a unique New England family is Stewie, the baby bent on world domination. There's also Peter, the shallow and fast-mouthed father, Lois, the neieve, caring mother, Chris the dimwitted son, Meg, your average homely teenage daughter, and Brian, the suave and sophisticated family dog. This DVD set of the first and second season exhibits the family's antics. By far, the greatest thing on this show are the humorous cutaways and random jokes about pop culture. Random is a good word to describe this show. There are a few minor drawbacks about the set though. The packaging is boring with the same picture used in each part(although the individual slimline cases are cool.) Another one is that the special features aren't that great. The only features are some trailers to the show and commentary on a few episodes.
