Searing Western with a very tough Gregory Peck

Pros: Tight, pointed story; excellent performances.
Cons: James Fenimore Cooper appears to have left us a legacy of cinematic offenses as well.
The Bottom Line: The Bravados is one of the finest Westerns I have ever seen. It is strongly plotted and brilliantly paced and actually quite philosophical.
