My brother bought me the The Brady Bunch complete set seasons one through five on DVD from a person on the Ebay web site. He know how much I like watching it when I was little and how I still watch the re-run episodes. He figured that this would be one of the best gifts. My brother gave it to me for Christmas this past year and I was in fact very happy to have gotten it.

The Brady Bunch was always a part of my family. Even before I was born back in 1980. This show was put out in the 70's and continued on for a long time. It was like having another family grown up with ours. Who did not want to be like a Brady? Every thing was always pretty much perfect and if there was a problem it was solved with in 30 minutes. I would imagine at some point or another every one who saw it wished that they could be a part of it.

The main people in it are Carol, Mike, Cindy, Jan, Marsha, Bobby, Peter, Greg and Alice the house keeper. It all begins with Mike and Carol getting married and bringing their family together. Her with three girls and him with three boys. Making them one big Brady bunch! Cindy is adorable with her braids for the best part of the seasons. She is quite the blabber mouth ans speaks with a lisp.

Jan is the out cast, or feels that way some times. For the better half of the first few series she is low on self esteem but over comes that and becomes a bigger part of the show. Marsha is a little full of her self, but is sweet and thoughtful none the less. Greg was always the most popular one of the group. He always seems smart and talks smart but can come up with some half baked ideas that get him in to trouble.

Peter is just plain silly half of the time. He is always pretending to be some thing that he is not. Or doing things that you just would not expect from him to look at him. Bobby is more down to earth. He gets in to trouble some times as well, but it always ends up being for a good reason. He can be helpful and make a mess out of things all at once.

Carol and Mike are great together. They talk things out. They never argue and if the do they are laughing through it and there is never any yelling between them. The kids feel at ease talking to them, and going to them with any problems that they may have. I would envy that when ever I watched the show. Now I still kind of envy it.

Alice the house keeper is my favorite of all. She is fun, caring, and is just as important of a family member as any one else in the Brady group. I love how they include her on family vacations and family events. It is not too often in real life that you see a house keeper being a real friend of the family that she is working for. The kids all love her and go to her to talk or blow off steam. She gives great advice and always goes to the mother and father with any thing that they should really know about.

With the The Brady Bunch complete set seasons one through five on DVD I am able to go back to watching the family I grew up watching. I now let my daughter sit and watch it with me as well. She is five years old and adores the Brady bunch. We talk about things that happen in the show, such as Jan being of envy toward Marsha, Cindy blaming Bobby for some thing he did not do and how it is wrong to accuse some one before you know the facts and so on. It seems that each episode tells a store, and each ends in a lesson that is always good.

There is no age or gender bios. this is a good set to own for a family or for a fan of the show. The very best part is that there are no commercials to get in the way. Each episode plays straight through. You can skip through episodes, or watch the whole thing. You can even view fun facts and trivia in the other mode instead of playing the DVD. It is an amazing set.

I am very glad that I can share this with my daughter. As a rule we have been watching two episodes per week. I figured this was she and I can have family bonding time while we watch, and we can prolong getting to the end so quickly.
