Great value!

I have greatly enjoyed using the Ti-84 Plus Silver edition throughout high school and college.

There are many many positive aspects of this model. The graphing functions can be manipulated for Calculus, algebra, and statistical purposes. There is also an easy regression function to test functions for data sets. Many applications like the Ti-83, can be added to this calculator. I enjoy using the flashcards and notepad features.

One cute feature of this calculator is the removable faceplates. Available in many colors, like pink and orange. I always get comments on how different my calculator looks and I don't have to worry about losing it amongst the other calculators.

There are a few cons about this model of calculator. The features are complicated and require reading the manual or taking a class that relies on it fully. I have learned many tricks from these classes that would have been very tough to learn on my own. The matrices and list functions can be invaluable and save a lot of time.

If you want to just compute simple non-graphing algebra, do not spend money on something you won't get full value from. If your class requires a Ti-83 or higher, I would definitely recommend investing in this one!
