Time Efficent Calculations

I have just signed up for an applied calculus class and the first day the teacher told us what calculaor would work for us. With out doubt he first mentioned the Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Graphic Calculator as the one he would purchase or rent. I have had this calculator for about 6 years and it is still the one teachers are recommending for students to buy.
My calculator has been very well used it has been dropped, done many calculations, and is simple to run. I have noticed that it has been very helpful having this calculator because of the teachers knowlege to teach you if you have not ran one before. Plus you can't beat the price only about 75-100 bucks! That is so cheap for the six years i have used it.
About a month ago i was in our math lab doing my homework and my buddy came up to me and stopped and said he was going to a take a test and didn't know how to use his calculator. In about 10 minutes i showed him everything there was to get him through his test. After words he came and told me that the one simple lesson i gave him has stuck with him and he told me of the new things he had learned since but said he learned the basics in about 10 minutes.
The reasons I love this Calculator

Simple

They are so simple and everyone is familiar with this calculator. I have many times stopped and tried to help people but i find a majority of people have the same one so i can help them with no problem what so ever. Get this calculator if you want to learn fast and effiecent.

Strong and protective

Last week it is really snowy here and i was holding my calculator and slipped on some ice and my calculator hit the ground hard with out the slide cover on it. All that happened was a little black mark came up on the right side but other than that nothing. I have now dropped it a total of 5 times this year and it is still working find I have had no problems with keys going bad or buttons not working and let me tell you it has been through it all.

Most affordable

This calculator ranges in price from about 75 to 100 dollars new. They are cheapest right before school starts. If you take care of the calculator there is no telling how long it will last you. You have heard about the abuse i have given mine and if it were to break i would out there buying another one. This tool is one of my favorite and it helps me get through my college career.

Versability

The calculator can be used as early as 7th grade and used through college. I am in college right now and really see how is has helped me through all of my math from pre algebra to calculus it can do it all. I have never had it not work for me and these are great machines. Especially to work for all of those years that is just six years of Jr. high and High School.

Size

For all of its capabilities its size is reasonable fits perfect in my coat pocket. I can keep it dry, warm, and keep it working all day. The size is nice because the buttons are big enough and spaced so you rarely touch adjacent keys when pressing one. It also allows for you to do a lot of graphing and the montior is awesome i can see it very well and the size has been perfected.

This calculor does it all you will never have to worry about buying another calculator or up grading like i said i have had mine for about 6 or 7 years and i am not planning on getting a new one anytime soon. The best part is everyone can give you a hand if you don't understand something.
