A pocket Einstein

Way back when I was in eighth grade I won a free calculator in my science class. It was the earlier version of the
TI-36X. When I lost that calculator I looked for the same one again and what I found was a spunky new version.

The TI-36X is an excellent calcualator for algebra up through geometry and possibly even trigonometry. The layout makes it easy to find the buttons your looking for and the common operations are usually only a button away. There are more functions at your fingertips than I would like to talk about but some of the more usefull are the square and square root buttons, the exponent key, an easily accesible pi approximation. There is also a very convienient backspace key and you can store up to three numbers in the memory.

The calculator comes complete with the three main trig functions and their inverses and even has a few preset values in like the size of a mole or the gravitational constant. I found those very useful in my highschool chemistry class and physics.

Like I said there are many more functions to this calculator. The case is very durable and withstood many books dropping on it many times. Until I updated to the TI-86 for my calculus class this calculator served me very well and I would recommend it to anyone.
