GE Slimline Phone: Remember To Add A Landline Phone To Your Hurricane/Emergency Supply Kit!

by   ifif1938 ,  Jun 4, 2006
Pros: Landline phones mean you will not be dependant on electricity
Cons: The buttons on top make it harder to see who is calling
The Bottom Line: Lightweight, easy to use, a necessity for any and all emergency kits.
Review: Well, Hurricane season is here…On June 1st those dreaded words were broadcast on every television station across South Florida as well as all the major news networks… The recovery efforts are still going on down here, with 17,000 people still ...

GE 29267GE3 Corded Phone - Solid cheapie phone

by   jkafer ,  Apr 18, 2005
Pros: Cheap, caller ID features, attractive
Cons: cords are not removable, takes 4 batteries.
The Bottom Line: If you need caller ID, but don't want to spend a fortune, look no further.
Review: Introduction We moved to a new house with caller ID which we've never had before. Since I didn't want to spend a fortune on phones but I wanted to be able to use the new caller ID feature, I opted to get 3 of the GE 29267GE3 Corded Phones for ...

Another phone

by   seacow ,  Aug 28, 2008
Pros:
Cons:
The Bottom Line:
Review: The phone for my land line wouldn’t be a big deal except that cell phones don’t like to work in my house. I do spend a lot of time in my room either watching television or writing reviews. On the rare occasions where I need to buy a phone, ...

Not A Bad Phone For Nine Bucks

by   ra64 ,  May 28, 2005
Pros: Cheap, functional
Cons: Caller ID display, handset does not hang firmly on the base when wall mounted
The Bottom Line: The GE Slimline has some significant flaws, but I don’t think you can really go wrong for only nine bucks.
Review: We had one of those old Trimline phones of before-I-was-born vintage mounted on the wall in our kitchen at home for as long as I can remember. Everyone was happy with that, but unfortunately it wouldn’t fit on the mount after we put in a DSL filter, ...

GE Slimline 29267GE - As Adequate as It Wants to Be

by   piscine ,  Apr 5, 2007
Pros: Easy to use, attractive, inexpensive.
Cons: Average analog voice quality; cords cannot be removed or replaced.
The Bottom Line: Only buy this phone for light use - and plan on buying a coupler and extra cord if the nearest phone jack is over five and a half feet away.
Review: I recently purchased the latest version of the GE Slimline corded telephone with caller ID. We have owned two earlier models for about ten years and fearing that one is about to kick the proverbial bucket, we decided to purchase a new one. This model ...

GE Corded Phone

by   errn4x4 ,  Feb 28, 2005
Pros: The Looks & Features
Cons: You get disconnected easily because of the hang up button too close.
Review: I bought it from BJ,s because of it's slim look, color & features, but I was very disappointed with it because every time I use the phone, I get disconnected because of the poor design of the hang up button which is too close to where you put your ear, ...

Basic, I'll give it that.

by   ak_midori ,  Apr 8, 2007
Pros: unlimited call time, easy-to-use key functions (like dialing, volume change), cheap
Cons: unnecessary parts, difficult to use after length of non-use, not very many features
Review: I have had this phone for a number of years. It's rather strange: the phone plugs directly into the wall. what about the base you say? the cord between the wall and headset coils underneath the base, and the base mostly just serves to keep the receiver ...

You've got to be kidding me.

by   valereee ,  Oct 20, 2006
Pros: One of the few slimline corded wall phones on the market.
Cons: Short non-replaceable cord. Unlit caller ID screen.
Review: This phone comes with a very short cord, and it's PERMANENTLY ATTACHED on one end so you can't replace it with a longer cord. What in the world is THAT about? ...

Not Worth It

by   wysiwyg9 ,  Mar 29, 2006
Pros: The black color is a good choice because it hides any stains from your hands.
Cons: Phone cord, display, directions
The Bottom Line: Keep looking for another product. This phone is not a good choice for any use that I can think of. I just wish I'd had this review before purchase.
Review: The curl cord between base and handset is only 1 foot in length, when in a tight curl before pulling on it, making it impractical for home or office use. This cord is locked in the base of the phone so the only way to lengthen it is to spend more money ...
