I love buffalo wings. Before I got this fryer for Christmas, I tried a bunch of different ways to cook them. Nothing worked out well for me. This handy little unit makes it so easy to fry up some delicious wings!
There are several pre programmed food items (called "menu") - chicken, fries, fish, etc.. This makes it very easy to select your menu, which sets the time and temperature of the cooker. After the defaults are applied, they can easily be overriden so you can change the time and temperature, which is a nice feature.
The basket has a collapsible handle so it doesn't hang out while immersed in oil - potentially causing some safety problems. At first glance, I imagined the basket collapsing as soon as I tried to remove the food from the cooker, but I have used it a bunch of time (10+) and never had any issue!
The power cord is attached by magnet to eliminate the problem where some one could trip over the cord and cause the fryer to fall over.
It is not terribly difficult to clean. The basket is the hardest part because of the webbing of the basket, but with a little soaking, it is not too bad. It gets clean enough!
