Ain't no Ghost in the Shell, that's for sure.

The Bottom Line: This is one righteous dude of a button masher.
Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is based on the vastly popular kids cartoon. Four turtles who learn martial arts beat up bad guys and hunt down shredder, their arch nemesis. This is a good game, don't get me wrong, but TMNT may go through some turbulence in this review.
Grpahics:8- The graphics in TMNT are great. Things like the explosions look really, really nice. The cartoon style fits perfectly with the genre. The game also features original anime from the series. There aren't any real flaws, and nothing that makes this game look perfect, but it all looks very good.
Gameplay:8- Every character in TMNT has a total of 10 different moves to execute while beating up hundreds upon hundreds of thugs and robots. It's Arcade style is really fun, (and gets old occasionally) and it has multiplayer so you can see who beats up the most bad-guys and help each other get through the game. There are four characters to choose from, each with moves to master.
Sound:6- The sound is the only real problem in TMNT. It is safe to say that the sound is, well, annoying. Especially the robots. Every time they move, there is a sound of screeching equivalent to the sound of fingernails to a blackboard. When there is a large group of robotic mice, they explode one at a time once defeated, and all you hear for the next 10 seconds is "BA-DOOM BA-DOOM BA-DOOM" etc. But, it is possible to get used to these sound issues, and they become small problems.
Lasting Appeal:8- This game will last for a couple of run-throughs. Per character, that is. There are four characters, and it takes about 3 hours per character to beat story mode, let alone unlocking everything, beating challenge mode, and playing VS. mode with friends. If you were a fan of this series as a child, This game will stay in your Cube, or at least in your mind, for a long time.
Overall:7.5-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is definitely a good game, that old fans of the cartoon will absolutely love, and the same can almost be said for newcomers of the series, too.
