Technics industrial silver finish design not only makes it look good, but the brand name is stamped on the headband boasting and displaying that you are monitoring your sounds with superior quality that's been a staple in the music industry since 1969.


You get a lot of extras with this particular headphone including Technics patented "freestyle monitoring with the swing arm system", "41 mm drive unit", and reversible housing for single side monitoring. The headphones 41mm Neodymium magnet drivers delivers the deep bass sound I like kicking it down to 5 Hz to 30kHz providing a superior sound range. The headphones also offer maximum input at 1500mw, which is the appropriate power handling for most rigorous professional applications. Not only do you get great sound play, but the headphones feel comfortable and the soft earcups don't hurt your ears or earlobes. The closed ear design is great for blocking out background noise from the sound system and crowd. The only con I can really think of is the fact that after wearing them for a couple of hours the earcups eventually feel warm from perspiration. For carrying convenience and protection the headphones come with a carrying pouch and their foldable design makes them compact.

Final thoughts:

I've had the Technics RP-DJ1210 headphones for over a year without any problems.
Taking the basic specs into consideration -- comfortable head padding, frequency response 8Hz-30kHz, max input capacity 1500mW and the 24K gold plated stereo plug -- these are excellent headphones for the price. In addition when considering the fact that many at this price point don't have Technics reputation for quality, the Technics RP-DJ1210 is worth every cent and more. In my opinion these are at the top of the line when it comes to monitoring and mixing music. If you're a professional or semi-professional DJ shopping for headphones in the $200 price range, you owe it to yourself to get with the Technics.
