Author's Review

I bought this unit for the Nostalgic look and the Turntable portion. When I got it, I tried a 33rpm record and it played slow. I tried a 45rpm and it played slow as well. Teac/Etronics could not help me so I removed the back panel and found the adjustment POTS for the turntable speed. I tweaked them and now the unit works great. It's not a high end piece of furniture (as far as the cabinet), but for around $200, you get good sound and the TEAC name. Also, it is much better quality than the Crosley or Philco and it carries a 1yr. warranty (I believe the others are 90days) Beware of who you buy it from as the dealer must be a TEAC authorized reseller. Otherwise, (as I found out) TEAC will not covered any warranty repairs.
