Hard to use! Hue and Lighting not good!

The Bottom Line: Was inexpensive but I will have to buy a different camera right away. I should have gone with HP, Cannon, or Olympus.
This is a full function 5.2 megapixel camera. We bought it to take pictures of our newborn. I am a novice photographer but an advanced computer user. I can figure out how to get things done and how to use things the right way.
Initially, we were thrilled by the compression of the pixels. Now that we've had our camera with about 2.5 months of steady use, I feel that we definitely should have bought another camera. The settings are very hard to use and require tweaking for each shot. Needless to say, my wife uses the camera half-as-often as I do. It'll take her a very long time to get used to the various modes and settings.
Even now that I feel I understand how to use the camera properly, I think that it is just not a good camera. Other brands of camera are famous for excellent photo quality with point and shoot ease of use. NOT THIS ONE. All my pictures have to be digitally lightened by 10-25% then I have to try to compensate for an extra BLUENESS in all of my pictures. My baby's skin looks very blue and it's very sad that all his pictures are coming out so poorly.
