Author's Review
My youngest son is 6 and has autism. In order the help his hand eye coordination, the occupational therapist recommended video games. I'd been against them even though, and perhaps because of my own Atari addiction as a child. Boy, was I glad I took our OT's advice.
This game has a wry humour to it that had me and the kids laughing on the livingroom floor as TAK uses his Juju Powers to go through a variety of levels with the eventual aim of turning Lok back into himself from a sheep. It sounds strange, but is really quite an endearing tale once you get into the game. Heck, I even got hooked on it one afternoon!
The visuals are fantastic, and the challenges aren't all that easy. In one section you have to pick up a rock? coconut? and throw it at a tree to hit a monkey. I, and my 7 year old who is now a Playstation WhizKid just could not hit the monkey no matter what we did. However, my youngest had great gaming dexterity and nails that silly monkey every time.
I would recommend this game to any parent who has concerns about violence and video games - but be warned, your kids won't want to stop playing! This game is essentially a quest, and although there is some banging and bashing it's all in good fun and easy to take this fantasy away from the real world. Get some Juju today!
