TV Guide The Gift That Lives On

During my father's lifetime, my sister and I could always depend upon getting TV Guide as our Christmas present from our father. A little over a year after his death, my subscription expired and for the first time in years my household was without our dependable TV Guide. One day my sister who lives in California called me and during our conversation she asked me if I renewed my TV Guide. I told her I had not, but I would buy one occasionally from the news stand but it was a bit expensive. Afterwards we talked fondly of our father and remembered things he did for us that we took for granted.

I continued to buy TV Guide but not from the news stand but ordered directly from TV Guide, which was much cheaper. A few years later I received a phone call from a magazine company that represents the Leukemia Society. They offered me a lower rate to subscribe to TV Guide, but they also give a portion of my subscription rate to the Leukemia Society. I thought this was a great idea and now I subscribe though them every year.

Through TV Guide, I have really good articles to read every week, I can keep up with what's going on in the world of Soap Operas plus know what's coming on TV, whether through my local channels or my satellite channels.

I guess my father is looking down from heaven smiling. She still reads TV Guide and contributes to the Leukemia Society all at the same time!
