Product Review

Worth the wait toast

by   scshell ,   Oct 21, 2005

Pros:  Does a nice job on reheating, toasting and baking. Best tasting toast I've ever had.

Cons:  Takes forever to toast-but worth the wait Lots of crumbs from frequent toasting.

The Bottom Line:  We like the toaster oven. Little slow toasting. The convection is the reason, I think, the foods come out tasting very nice. I would buy it again.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

We bought this toaster from Lowes. We have a stainless steel kitchen so we thought this toaster would fit right in.
Plugged it in and didn't think about it.We reheated some things and the oven did just fine.Quicker than our old toaster oven.
Then we decided to make toast. It took forever and we had to watch to make sure the toast did not get too brown. I thought $50 was alot to spend on a mediocre toaster oven and considered taking it back since it took soo long to toast. Then I put some butter on my bread, took a bite and said "We are keeping this toaster!!!!!" Both my husband and I agree it is the BEST toast we have ever eaten. It was crispy on the bottom and the butter made the top perfect.I will admit with the other review that if you don't set the dials right and watch until you get used to the toaster ,you will get it too crispy and it will not taste as good. But practice makes perfect so we went through a whole loaf in a day! We have never had so many crumbs in the kitchen. Both kids love toast for breakfast now.So give it a chance. Taste the toast(we love to use sara lee soft and smooth classic white)-- you'll be a believer.
We have had the toaster for 2 months now and have not had any door issues either.
