The do all machine

I needed a tuff machine to help me with my hobby. I renovate furniture as well as make my own. I didn't have a lot of room in my workshop but needed to sew upholstery fabrics ( I love micro suede). I went to my local sewing store and they let me use their Juki 98QE in store. I found after a few minutes on some difficult fabrics that it was going to do my work.I watch the HG channel a lot and noticed they used my machine on Divine design, this gave me a little more confidence to sew everything. Velcro has always been a problem and I use a lot of it. I found if I used the plain commercial velcro with no glue, my machine worked great. I found the large space underneath useful when sewing trim on a large comforter. I'm told it was made that way for quilters. It also sewed well with invisible thread which I use a lot when sewing on zippers. I'm so glad I found this machine working on my old machine was such a chore, though I do use it still for decorative buttonholes. I just bought a commercial ruffling attachment and it works fabuloso on my machine. Buying pre-made ruffles or drawing by hand was such a headache. I hope this blog will help anyone with the same dilemmas.
