Ti-89

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: The TI-89 is a very powerful device. It made my high school calc class a ton easier and I believe it will do the same for any customer.
Review: I picked up the TI-89 calculator for high school, and I m very amazed at all the things it can do. My teachers recommended the Ti-83/84, but it was on sale at the time, and they were out of the 83s.
The TI-89 calculator comes with everything,...

From a high school students view.

Date of Review:  Nov 2, 2006
The Bottom Line: This product will be well worth the cost to you if you use math frequently or have a calculus course ahead of you.
Review: I took the SAT's with three times. I got a 550 in the old test in the math section with a ti-83 plus pretty consistently. The fourth time i took the SAT's I used my TI-89. I got a 710 on it. The reason was that once you figure out how to use the...

If you NEED it, BUY IT!

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you need this calculator (for calculus or engineering) it is an excellent tool, but for a steep price. However, it's not neccessary for most math.
Review: I purchased this product last week for my college calculus class, which basically requires the use of this calculator. I had been using a TI-86 which i thought was wonderful for about three years. The TI 89 is an excellent tool. It provides...

Ti-89 Rocks

Date of Review:  Aug 10, 2005
Review: I really love using Ti-89. I guess it is the best one available out there in the morning. It is usable for whatever you can think of. If you are looking for something very useful and handy then buy Ti-89. It isn't that friendly user. Many features...

Texas Instruments TI-89: It's Like a Hand- Held Personal Computer

Date of Review:  Oct 1, 2004
The Bottom Line: This calculator is expensive, but it's very helpful for students of advanced math. It's worth the high price, in my opinion.
Review: Calculators, in their numerous varieties, have been helping students solve mathematical problems for decades. Once a time- consuming process, math questions, both difficult and easy, can now be resolved in a matter of seconds, all with the push of a...

Blessing for higher math students

Date of Review:  Aug 4, 2000
Review: I was in an AP Calculus BC class my senior year in high school that was using a class set of HP 48G calculators. Those were truly awful calculators to use. They were slow, gave answers back in hard to understand formats much of the time, and were...

if your life involves calculus, the 89 is your savior

My Math Buddy

Date of Review:  Oct 29, 2000
Review: I (actually, my dad) purchased my TI-89 in the September of 1999 for my math classes in high school. It was very expensive - $149.99 - and my dad wasn't too thrilled about the price. But in my experience, the TI-89 was a very good purchase. I've...
