Texas Instruments TI-89 Titanium Graphing Calculator

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2004
Review: I have purchased many Texas Instruments Graphing Calculators over the course of my school career and I have to say that the TI-89 Titanium is by far the best yet. TI appears to have combined the best of all the other calculators into one unit,...

Dont waste your money on other TI's, the 89 is the way to go!

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you're atleast in middle school, buy it, and as long as it doesn't get stolen you will use it until you are thirty.
Review: I strongly advise anyone, even middle-schoolers, to stop buying those inferior ti-83's and go straight for the 89. Cost wise this is most efficient, for the 89 will faithfully serve you well into college.
There are two categories of...

TI-89:So Good......its bad

Date of Review:  Aug 13, 2000
Review: I bought the TI-89 in the spring of 1999 for my AP Calculus AB class my senior year. The teacher suggested buying it and, at the time, I was planning on being an engineering major at college, so it was a good investment. However, because of the...

simply the best

Date of Review:  Nov 1, 2003
Review: I originally bought the TI-89 because I was going into engineering and it looked like the best deal at the store. Three years and two majors down the road, I am so thankful that I made this choice. The calculator is easily worth a letter grade in...

TI-89 Graphing Calculator: "Summed" Up

Date of Review:  Aug 15, 2003
The Bottom Line: Good calculator all in all.
Review: This calculator is a fairly useful product. I used it in my math courses in the past few years. It is not very hard to find the correct basic functions and master the keys, but you can also get into some fairly advanced things on this calculator...

Costly, but well worth it

Date of Review:  Jul 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you have the money, buy it!
Review: I would not have survived Algebra II if I had not purchased the TI-89. It saved me countless hours of laborious work, which would have been unnecessary because I already understood the concepts, just that my scientific calculator would force me to...

Computer, I mean calculator...

Date of Review:  Aug 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this calculator to anyone who wants an extremely powerful calculator that can do a lot more than just math...
Review: This is what some people sometimes joke about when I pull out my TI-89 graphing calculator, because that's really how powerful it is. I have practically the newest version, with Hardware version 2, and AMS (Advanced Mathematics Software) 2.05, and...

TI 89, A BEST BUY

Date of Review:  Nov 17, 2000
Review: I bought a Ti 89 for my high school math course. Before I bought it, i thought it was going to be so very hard to use. I am not very good at figuring out things like that. It only took a couple of minutes of playing with it, before I knew how to do...

An Engineering Dream

Date of Review:  Dec 5, 2001
The Bottom Line: The calculator is a must for all math and engineering fields of study!
Review: To start, I will talk about who I am and why I use the TI89 calculator. Currently, I am a mechanical and aerospace engineering student at West Point. Last year my school was rank second and fifth in civil and mechanical engineering, respectfully. To...

Making the leap: switching from the TI-83 to the TI-89

Date of Review:  Dec 25, 2002
The Bottom Line: A great calculator for college-level math and science nerds, but most high school students are better off with a TI-83 Plus.
Review: For three years of high school math (precalculus, calculus, and linear algebra), I happily used my school-issued TI-83 plus. It was perfect for precalculus, and it was useful for calculus, too, but by senior year I was taking multivariable calculus,...
