Great Mini Games

by   kjscrafts ,   Dec 2, 2007

Pros:  fun mini games to play

Cons:  story mode controls are confusing

The Bottom Line:  Mini games are fun, but probably not worth buying full price just for the two mini games.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

This game has a story mode and a mini game mode. The story mode has you start on a mission in the school. I did not even get past the first level before I was bored. It was just kind of frustrating with the football player looking enemies that kept grabbing you and you had to use stylus on the screen to get away from them and then if you wanted to get rid of them for good you had to push the Y button and shoot them with a water fun. Basically the controls involving all the buttons on the DS and the fact it still makes you do stuff on the touch screen is just plain awkward and frustrating at times.

That said about me not liking the story mode I absolutely loved the mini games. The first mini game is one where you play the guitar by holding down arrow keys and touching the screen in the right place at the right time. This way of using buttons and the touch screen actually works at least for a right handed person, as I can see my left handed dominant brother having a hard time with how this mini game works. The other mini game is you doing magic tricks by following a path with the stylus. You have to keep the stylus within the path and you fail the level if you go outside the paths. You also have to do it within the time limit. There are 80 levels in this mini game and I found them all pretty easy to beat, but it was a lot of fun to do it and relaxing (although I can see it being the opposite of relaxing if you keep getting outside of the lines).
