Olevia LT-42HVi 42 in. TV

I purchased a 42 in. Syntax Olevia LCD in October. The picture is poor as there are streaks of light that run across the screen under dark viewing conditions (which is most of the time). I called Syntax many times, and after finally sitting through an hour on hold, I spoke to a representative who told me that my problem is referred to as "light leakage" and that I needed to suck it up. I previously sent two e-mails to their customer service address from their website, both of which went unanswered. Picture quality is poor, customer service is poor. Enough said.
