STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!
Date of Review: May 5, 2006
The Bottom Line: Please look elsewhere... Viewsonic, Sceptre, even sony though it's more money... it's probably worth it. Wouldn't even recommend to an enemy
Don't waste your money!!! I beg you do NOT make the same mistake I made. HDMI INPUTS ARE USELESS!!! I called Tech Support, after hours of holding... a very unprofessional, discourteous man said " Direct TV screwed up, your HD BOX is not compatible with our TV" How about stating that on your website then? I don't mean a whole list of boxes but at least LET consumers know that some HDMI READY CABLE BOXES may not work with this TV...eventhough I know it's B.S. The picture using component cable is simply ok. Nothing great! It's noisy when the images move at a fast paste... like watching a Basketball game in HD... Again, nothing to brag about. Nevermind standard TV, that's even worse! The picture using HDMI looks exactly like the monster in the movie PREDATOR! remember ARNOLD... whenever the monster saw anything it had like greens and reds all around it, and you could see something sort of moving in the back. TRUST ME!!! It looks EXACTLY like that! My Olevia LT42HVi is nothing but a "PREDATOR" you know... the alien's sight! I SWEAR!!! So... I didn't care for the guy over the phone or his explanation, I then decided to send an email... 5 days later I got a response; are you ready for this? This is word by word what I got as a response...
"This sounds like a defective input module on your TV. If you reply back with your address and date of purchase, we can have a replacement module shipped out to you"
I sent an email back the minute I got it. It's been almost 2 weeks and I've heard from NO ONE!!! Not to mention I don't even know what a defective input module is... or how to even install it if in fact I ever get one!!!
So in a nutshell... everything I've said is true. Trust me! You can't make this stuff up. PLEASE!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! It's the biggest rip off out there right now! I'm considering my legal options. To return back to buydig.com would cost me over $250 and be left empty handed. GOOD LUCK! And look elsewhere.
