Sylvanias DON'T LAST

The Bottom Line: Would never buy another Sylvania product. Poorly made, last <1 yr, poor Cust. Svc, no 800#, hard to find ph#'s (under names like "Funai") make it a bad choice.
Sylvania's don't last but 1-2 yrs now - Co will promise to replace, then keep putting you off claiming tv's "aren't in stock". Then will keep telling you to "call this other number" (that tells you to call the original phone #). We NEVER REC'd REPLACEMENT from 3-4 YEARS AGO! Also- they go by "FUNAI" when you try to find # in phone books so you CAN'T find them! We only bought Sylvania because prior one lasted OVER 20 years! (AND, because we THOUGHT we were "buying American"). Then, a new one didn't even last a year (3-6 months as I recall)! Repair didn't last but 1-3 months if that! (It was a 32" and they kept claiming they didn't make the model in that size anymore, so we were willing to accept the nearest size, but they wouldn't even provide THAT and they never refunded our money, either!) We now have a SAMSUNG that's great! The picture is way better than the same Sylvania. Sorry to say, we realized you can't 'buy American" TVs anymore - they don't exist. At least we now know Sylvania is NOT the way to go. We need to contact Consumer Affairs to get our $ back, now!
