Olymipcs at home??

by   TheGr8_One ,  Sep 21, 2000
Pros: Good family game, very addicting, pick up and play game with not much learning
Cons: Not much skill needed to play. I also think it should have some more events
Review: After watching the Olympics at home and getting frustrated seeing some US athletes losing to the other countries I remember saying "Man I can do better than that." The next day I went to the store and purchased Sydney 2000. The moment I got...

What did you expect? Really?

by   Pickoff ,  Oct 6, 2000
Pros: Fun friend game. Some fun events
Cons: not many of those fun events no specific athletes
Review: I rented Sydney 2000 and what i expected was a game simlair to nagano 98 (which is one of the worst games i've ever played). Anyways i was quite impressed. The graphics are pretty average, but i really don't care about the graphics for a game like this....

Sydney is a Good Day Mate!

by   raptors5555 ,  Oct 5, 2000
Pros: variety and fun
Cons: none
Review: I purchased the Sydney 2000 game because well, I guess you could say I got caught up in the Olympics. I think the Olympics are a special time for the world because for two weeks they forget their problems and come to a place and compete in friendly...

hope its more fun in the olympics

by   illy14 ,  Oct 5, 2000
Pros: number of events
Cons: the graphics
Review: This game has twelve events which is alright. Mostly everything about this game is bad the graphics, control, and the overall gameplay. The colors even have a dull look to them. The athletes are very disproportioned and the clipping is terrible....

Sydney Olympics 2000: "False Start!"

by   Alkaiser ,  Sep 12, 2000
Pros: Erm...fun the first time through if you like Track & Field.
Cons: For an updated T&F everything feels very similar, and looks really bad.
Review: Anyone remember that old school arcade game Track & Field? If not, go download MAME and get reacquainted. Anyway, the premise behind the game was that you were an Olympian and you were competing in different events, usually ones that invovled a lot...

Not as good as I had hoped

by   Cyberdan3 ,  Oct 5, 2000
Pros: ok Graphics- commentary- the olympics
Cons: button mashing- gameplay sucks- no real players- computer is very hard.
Review: Seeing as how it is the olympic season and all and I thought I would give Sydney 2000 a try. I went to the video store and rented it. Shortly after I started playing, I found that renting this game was a mistake. This game is not at all what I had...

I thought the Olympics required skill...

by   Zeorai ,  Sep 17, 2000
Pros: Track and Field reborn!
Cons: Just about everything else.
Review: Well, like the title states, I thought the Olympics took some skill, but apparently all you need is mad button pushing skills. In this case the ability to push 2 buttons one after the other as fast as you can on a Dreamcast controller. Which by the...
