You get what you pay for

I've had two XL-7's. The first was a 2001, followed by a 2004. I got the second one simply to get out of the horrid deal I was suckered into on the first. The 2001 was going downhill fast when I traded it after just over 3 years. I just got rid of the '04 after hydroplaning in it for the last time and hitting a retaining wall on the interstate. I have gone off the highway twice in these vehicles and been in dangerous hydroplanes several other times. Very dangerous in rain. They also loose value faster than any other vehicle I know of. The gas mileage is absolutely awful. They also have inherit problems with alignment. I had consistent front-end alignment problems with both vehicles and the tires aren't exactly cheap to replace. Plan on doing it every 20-25,000 miles.
