I purchased a Surround Air Purifier for a Christmas present for my father. We pulled it out of the box, plugged the cord into the unit and into the wall and pushed the on button. In 30 minutes the bedroom smelled like a fresh rain shower. No sound unless you put your ear to it when it cycles. Then there is just a tiny hum. We were so impressed we went out and purchased 3 more in the after Christmas sale. One in each room. My mother is a smoker and I can't believe how much odor is taken out of the house. My clothing always smelled of smoke when I left her house, but no more. I am a believer in this product. I wish I would have gotten the first one on sale. I paid $80 for the first one and $50 a piece for the other 3. They come with a cord attachment that plugs into the vehicle lighter if you want to run the air purifier in your vehicle. To clean just unscrew the 2 pins in the bottom and pull the panel out and wipe clean. The directions say wash with soap and water. I haven't cleaned these yet since they have only been running for a few days now. We had them set on high but now we are running them on low.
