Don't expect it to be like the game

Why did I see this movie? Because my kids were Nintendo-freaks at the time. Why have I seen this movie too many times to count? Because even when they moved on to other interests, this movie continued to be worth watching. It is not *anything* like the game, and once you realize that, it is fun. Nope, it is not a deep movie. Nope, it's not a very believable movie (can you spell F-A-N-T-A-S-Y?). And nope, the acting isn't terrific. But it is FUN! And clean, which counts for something when trying to find a movie for the kids.

To find a movie that we, as parents, can stand to watch with the kids is often difficult. When we do find such a movie, it often becomes part of our video library. Super Mario Brothers is definitely there.
