by  jeremy1456, top reviewer in Games ,  Jan 24, 2002
Pros: Replay Value, Graphics, And All of The Little Extras
Cons: I Really Don't Know
The Bottom Line: Just a rehash? I think not.
Review: The original Smash Bros. game on the Nintendo 64 introduced to the world a new type of fighting game, and despite it's cutesy graphics, toned down sound effects, and it's not quite decent single player mode it was a fun game, but mainly just the...

Pros: Fast and chaotic multiplayer fighting goodness.
Cons: Single player modes still get boring quick.
The Bottom Line: Overall an excellent title, but only if you have plenty of available friends will you get lots of replay out of it.
Review: BOOM POW CRASH ZAP! These are the sights and sounds of Super Smash Brothers Melee. Everything looks and sounds bright, fast, loud, and chaotic. Playing the game is like a frantic scramble for survival with a rapidly approaching death sequence in the near...

Epinions Super Smash Bros Melee: A Nintendo-phile's Dream

by  Slusy, lead in Games ,  Dec 9, 2001
Pros: Everything good about Super Smash Bros, but ten times better
Cons: Cutesiness could turn people away from the great fighting game inside
The Bottom Line: If you own a GameCube, you need Super Smash Bros. Melee. 'Nuff said.
Review: Back in days of yore (also known as 1999), Nintendo took all their flagship characters, put them all in a ring, and let them at one another. They called it Super Smash Bros., and it was an instant hit. (Pun intended.) So, what better way to usher in...

The Bottom Line: .........
Review: For years, and years, people throughout the world pondered one simple question: If Mario faced off against Link, who would prevail? This question would be answered, in a sense in 1999, when Nintendo placed 8 of it's top game characters to face off in ...
