Flawed

This seemed to be the perfect solution to our Florida room problem...too cold in winter/too hot in summer. It is a great concept, but terribly flawed. Despite my best efforts to control the water from the de-humidification process (I placed the machine in a basin that is employed to put under a washing machine and emptied the drainage twice a day), it leaked all over a brand new rug which cost me twice the machine to replace/repair. The machine does not have adequate ability to control all the water it draws out of the air, so it leaked. It took up a great deal more space than I had hoped - what with all the apparatus I needed to employ to collect the water expelled out of the machine and the venting tube. After the rug repair due to water damage, I was forced to buy a window ac unit and now a space heater, and discontinue using the sunpentown all together. The cost of the experience financially was 3 times the price of the machine.
