When my friend needed something to hold her garden supplies, I knew exactly what to recommend, the Suncast GS1000 20 Cubic Foot Horizontal Storage Shed. How did I know? Because we use, three of them ourselves! We have a large yard and instead of hauling garden tools and supplies from one area to the next, we use Suncast GS1000 20 Cubic Foot Horizontal Storage Sheds.
WHY USE MORE THAN ONE?
We have a large yard and instead of hauling garden tools and supplies from one area to the next, we use Suncast Storage Shed This way we can keep the tools used for areas close by and save a lot of time looking for them and lugging them back and forth! For example, on the upper part of the property, where have most of our fruit trees, we store the tools used to trim the trees, fertilizer, baskets to gather the fruit, stakes, twin etc. We also keep bird food and suet there to fill the bird feeders. By the pond we use that Suncast Storage Shed. to hold tools used to plant, transplant and weed because there are a lot of herbs and flowers there. There is also fertilizer, sheers to cut the flowers to bring inside and nets for the kids to use to catch frogs! The third one is between the two vegetable gardens. All of the sheds we have extra gloves, hats, sunscreen, a hose to add to the main one for more length and a case of bottled water. We have an actual gardening shed which holds the riding lawn mower, weed whackers, wheelbarrows, trimmers, loppers, shovels, hoes etc. but having extras stashed where they are used the most often, has saved us a HUGE amount of time!
THE STORAGE UNIT ITSELF
This Suncast Storage Shed is not really large, but works perfect for holding things like garden supplies, pool equipment or seasonal items. It has a 20 cubic foot capacity and is 4' 6" W x 2' 2" D x 2' 10" H. . We had originally thought of getting ones large enough to also store wheelbarrows in but they needed to be tucked away behind bushes or large plantings. You can not see any of our sheds when you look out onto the property and that is exactly what we were hoping for.
The Suncast Storage Shed has a taupe base with forest green accents. It does NOT come assembled so you have to put it together. This is not very difficult as it is one of those snap together (no tools) type things. The first one took the longest but after that; we were able to put together the other ones in 20 minutes top.
Suncast added supports inside so you can add a wood shelf which we did in two of ours. You can access the contents by either the lid (which has a prop rod to keep it open) or by opening the two doors in front. Both the doors and lid are lockable - the locks are not included.
The Suncast Storage Shed is made of UV-resistant poly resin. It is designed to have the rainwater funnel off the lid, making sure the inside contents stay dry. It is covered by a five-year limited warranty.

The Suncast GS1000 20 Cubic Foot Horizontal Storage Shed. has worked very well for us. They are well made, keep our supplies dry and have saved us a lot of time! As I noted they are somewhat small but if don’t need to storage a large amount, they are trying. We have a couple of their larger size units as well and all of them still look and work great. I should note that they are made solely for storage and not for sitting, jumping or playing on. Although, our cats are always sitting and hiding on them! Based on our satisfied experiences, I am giving them a solid 5 stars.
