A great buy, easy to use, gets the job done, and is darn cute!

I bought the Sunbeam 450 watt Heritage mixer recently and have been very pleased with it. I previously owned a Hamilton Beach, vintage 1968, that finally wore out and this replaces it. This Sunbeam works even better than my original mixer and is darn cute besides! (I have the red colored one and the old fashioned style reminds me of my mother's mixer and yet has a modern art deco touch.) It is sitting right on my counter top and is very decorative as well as useful. After checking out the mixer ratings on the Internet, I was concerned that perhaps the Kitchen Aid brand would have been the better buy. It seems there are folks out there who swear by Kitchen Aid. But...this machine is undervalued and has certainly served me well, especially considering that it was more affordable than the Kitchen Aid brand. Most of the cons listed were hog wash for me. I really like using it. While I did not buy the mixer to bake bread, I feel confident that it will do the trick when needed. Those that use mixers solely for bread, might need to get one of the expensive powerhouse mixers. But for me...baking quick breads, muffins, cakes, and occasional breads...this is a wonderful mixer. It is reasonably priced, easy to operate, has plenty of room for big batches... and is cute.
