A great buy, easy to use, gets the job done, and is darn cute!

by   granny4 ,  Apr 17, 2007
Pros: roomy bowl for big batches of dough, easy to clean, affordable, and is darn cute.
Cons: Release button for the beaters is a bit difficult to push, especially with arthritis
The Bottom Line: affordable, easy to use, gets the job done, and it is cute
Review: I bought the Sunbeam 450 watt Heritage mixer recently and have been very pleased with it. I previously owned a Hamilton Beach, vintage 1968, that finally wore out and this replaces it. This Sunbeam works even better than my original mixer and is darn ...

The Mixer that Saved the Day

by   mattysgirl729 ,  Jan 30, 2008
Pros: Heavyduty motor, easily understandable, comes with 3 types of beaters & two bowls.
Cons: Heavy. Like others mentioned the tilt button can be difficult.
The Bottom Line: While it might not be the most popular mixer on the market it definately has it's place. I would choose this over the KitchenAid any day!
Review: I received this mixer as a wedding shower present in June of 2007 after having registered for it at Macy's. When I did my registry I knew I wanted this mixer in particular because I wanted a mixer that I would be able to walk away from while it beat or ...

SUNBEAM * THE ULTIMATE MIXER

by   mtnlaurl ,  Dec 15, 2007
Pros: Very heavy duty; space to add ingredients while mixing, rotating bowl; shifting bowl stand.
Cons: Can't rotate bowl backwards, tilt release sometimes hard to work.
The Bottom Line: If you're a serious baker who is looking for a heavy duty mixer that will last a generation or two, this is for you.
Review: I learned to cook on a true vintage Sunbeam Mix Master - my mother's model from the 1950's. I grew up with it and when I got my first job in the early 1970's I bought my own stainless Mix Master. It was my first purchase for my "hope chest". That Mix ...

A good light-duty stand mixer.

by   mrcoffee73 ,  Oct 9, 2004
Pros: Reasonably constructed, good power, easy to use and carry, affordable. Very attractive.
Cons: The design of the bowl and rotating mechanism may seem flimsy to some users.
The Bottom Line: This is a good machine for light-duty use (cakes, batters, whipped topping, meringues, cookies). If you are going to be making bread or heavy doughs, get a KitchenAid.
Review: The Sunbeam Heritage is an inexpensive metal stand mixer that uses dual beaters, similar to those on a hand mixer. The unit has two motors: One to rotate the beaters, and the other for rotating the bowl. The bowl rotates the opposite direction of the ...

Powerful & Noisy But Works Well...

by   sharonMH ,  Mar 6, 2007
Pros: Serves it's function well.
Cons: Too powerful, and noisy.
The Bottom Line: I like it, the pros outweigh the cons. Great for a first time stand mixer owner.
Review: I purchased the Sunbeam Heritage 2349 Stand Mixer about two years ago at a discount store for a little more than $80. I'd always wanted a stand mixer, but wasn't about to shell out a few hundred dollars on a Kitchen Aid, especially since I'd never used a ...

good, basic mixer

by   sarara ,  Jan 7, 2008
Pros: attractive easy to use performs well
Cons: hard to release beaters
The Bottom Line: I recommend this mixer for anyone who does average baking. It works well and is easy to use.
Review: I bought a Sunbeam because I loved the retro look and I also loved the price - only $130 for 450 watts which was more wattage than the comparable KitchenAid at a much better price. The mixer does a good job for cookies, cakes, muffins, or dough for ...

Not a bad mixer

by   super-tomato ,  Mar 29, 2005
Pros: Sleek looking, easy clean-up, affordable, frees up your hands.
Cons: Replacement parts can be expensive, small bowls, dough escapes bowls while mixing.
Review: I decided to buy the Sunbeam mixer because it was more affordable than a KitchenAid and had power closer to a KitchenAid than other beaters I had looked at. I have wanted a stand mixer for some time but just couldn't get myself to fork out to much money ...

I'm a mixin' fool!

by   bassguy ,  Jan 3, 2005
Pros: Good looks, heavy-duty
Cons: hard to tilt up, turntable loosey-goosey
Review: I got my Sunbeam mixer for Christmas although I really wanted the heavy-duty one I saw at Costco ($249). I've made cookies and muffins with it so far and it really beats (no pun intended) the heck out of hand mixing. I would like to make bread next, but ...

Good value for the money!

by   mustansalee ,  Jan 24, 2007
Pros: Great design, heavy duty construction, 2 stainless mixing bowls included, cool color, good looking
Cons: Doesn't come with paddles for stiffer batters and dough.
Review: Bought my husband (who is the baker in my family) the Sunbeam mixer for Christmas. He really likes the design and functionality of it. Bowl slides to the outside for scraping and adding ingredients. He likes the many speed options, and two different ...

Good durability for the money, good customer service.

by   ykirstein ,  Feb 4, 2006
Pros: Great customer service, powerful motor,Easy to use,Dial very smooth and easy to use
Cons: Kept forgetting to slide the bowl switch, otherwise, outside of bowl doesn't mix properly
Review: Although within less than 4 months I realized that somehow I had got a faulty unit in that the letters on the dial literally wiped off completely when I wiped it with a wet cloth, I did contact customer service, and they were very apologetic and willing ...
