Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage Series 2347 - Mixing It Up At Maximum Volume

Date of Review:  Jan 16, 2009
The Bottom Line: Works well, looks cool... but what's up with all the noise?
Review: In my opinion, the best room in the house is the kitchen. My baseline culinary activity begins with twice-a-week bread baking duties, with a cake or pie thrown-in as an occasional tasty treat. The winter months are especially kitchen-oriented due to...

A good light-duty stand mixer.

Date of Review:  Oct 9, 2004
The Bottom Line: This is a good machine for light-duty use (cakes, batters, whipped topping, meringues, cookies). If you are going to be making bread or heavy doughs, get a KitchenAid.
Review: The Sunbeam Heritage is an inexpensive metal stand mixer that uses dual beaters, similar to those on a hand mixer. The unit has two motors: One to rotate the beaters, and the other for rotating the bowl. The bowl rotates the opposite direction of...

SUnbeam did not "shine" for me!

Date of Review:  Feb 28, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would never buy one of these modern Sunbeams again. I hear the older ones were good but this one was junk. Motor was not worth the $99.
Review: I was sooo excited to get a stand mixer from my husband for Christmas. I had always wanted one and finally i had one! I read all the directions on using it and even thought some of the recipes that came in the booklet were good. I decided to make a...

A great buy, easy to use, gets the job done, and is darn cute!

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: affordable, easy to use, gets the job done, and it is cute
Review: I bought the Sunbeam 450 watt Heritage mixer recently and have been very pleased with it. I previously owned a Hamilton Beach, vintage 1968, that finally wore out and this replaces it. This Sunbeam works even better than my original mixer and is...

Good for the basics

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: Buy it for your average baker, but not for someone who is baking weekly or more.
Review: This standing mixer was a Christmas gift to be two years ago. I haven't used it for heavy duty baking and it is still in good condition. I liked the many settings though they don't seem to be adequately named. If a recipe says to "cream" something...

SUNBEAM * THE ULTIMATE MIXER

Date of Review:  Dec 15, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you're a serious baker who is looking for a heavy duty mixer that will last a generation or two, this is for you.
Review: I learned to cook on a true vintage Sunbeam Mix Master - my mother's model from the 1950's. I grew up with it and when I got my first job in the early 1970's I bought my own stainless Mix Master. It was my first purchase for my "hope chest".

Flawed from the day I got it

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2007
Review: We received this as a gift about 18 months ago.

We loved the look and feel of it, and the speed-control dial.

(By the way, those with arthritis or other hand-strength problems will NOT appreciate the force required to push the...

Powerful & Noisy But Works Well...

Date of Review:  Mar 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: I like it, the pros outweigh the cons. Great for a first time stand mixer owner.
Review: I purchased the Sunbeam Heritage 2349 Stand Mixer about two years ago at a discount store for a little more than $80. I'd always wanted a stand mixer, but wasn't about to shell out a few hundred dollars on a Kitchen Aid, especially since I'd never...

Not My Cup of Tea

Date of Review:  Jun 22, 2005
The Bottom Line: Price not bad but the first batch of cookies I found the bowl is too small, mix rides up the whips onto mixer and out of the bowl.
Review: I was given this mixer as an anniversary gift. The mixer dose a very good job of mixing, the speeds are very versatile (you can choose the exact speed you want) and fairly easy to clean. Unless you are mixing a very small cookie, cake or bread...

The Mixer that Saved the Day

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2008
The Bottom Line: While it might not be the most popular mixer on the market it definately has it's place. I would choose this over the KitchenAid any day!
Review: I received this mixer as a wedding shower present in June of 2007 after having registered for it at Macy's. When I did my registry I knew I wanted this mixer in particular because I wanted a mixer that I would be able to walk away from while it beat...
