WRX STi: Ride the Lightning!

Date of Review:  Oct 29, 2006
The Bottom Line: A complete supercar that outdoes the big boys on public roads yet manages to be more practical, cost far less and be more reliable.
Review: A childhood friend of mine who is also a hardcore enthusiast recently bought a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. This has been a long in coming deal ever since I turned him on to turbocharged Subarus when I let him try my forester XT over 2 years ago...

Much improved for 2006

Date of Review:  Oct 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: Always a fun car to drive, the 2006 WRX handles better and rides more quietly.
Review: Before I bought my current car, a Mazda Protege5, I considered buying a Subaru Impreza WRX wagon. But there were things I didn't care for, aside from a much higher price. The WRX wasn't an attractive car. Especially not in wagon form, where there...

Subaru Impreza 2.5i Wagon: Quiet Virtues, Goofy Face

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you can overlook the outdated interior, I recommend this car for its standard safety features, AWD, and excellent handling. Get the stick-shift, though.
Review: With a new mortgage, a new baby on the way, and a wife due to quit her job soon, I was faced with a painful choice: Drain our savings account, or sell the Lexus and get a very, very cheap car. I chose the latter option.

This was the first...

Takin' It To The Streets- A SAFE and Sound Choice!

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: It is a GREAT bargain for anyone! A lot of car for a little money!
Review: We were finally in the market for a new car, due to absolute frustration with our 'lot' of cars in the driveway. Our eldest daughter was transfering up to Champlain College in Vermont, and we knew we needed a reliable all wheel drive vehicle to make...

Lots of bang for the buck!

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 2006
The Bottom Line: Affordable performance, AWD capability and day to day practicality make the Impreza WRX wagon tough to beat.
Review: The competition
I car shopped intensively for about three months, and considered a wide range of cars including the VW Rabbit, Mazda3, Audi A3, Mini Cooper S and Scion tC. I finally concluded, however, that the WRX wagon is the best overall...

Review: Subaru Impreza 2.5i
AT A GLANCE

Performance: 4.0
At 175 hp (~125 net hp), full-time AWD, and rally-inspired heritage, it is one of the most best performers in its class.
Interior: 3.0

wrx: lots of fun to drive

Date of Review:  Apr 11, 2006
The Bottom Line: This car is awesome, and I love it. It's fast, sporty-looking... AWD makes it safe in snow/rain... WRX indeed is so much fun to drive. I love this car.
Review: -Second draft-

I love the WRX. Whenever I look at it, many phrases come to mind: "Wow", "Yeah!", "Let's Go!", "Fast and Furious", "Woooooo Hoooooo!!"

I bought my 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX automatic Limited just before Xmas of 2005...

2006 WRX TR Review

Date of Review:  Jul 21, 2006
The Bottom Line: Fast, reliable, practical, and inexpensive.
Review: The TR differs from the standard WRX with a 4 speaker 80 watt sound system with manual AC replacing the automatic climate control and 6 speaker 140 watt sound system, regular front seats, no momo steering wheel, and no spoiler. The TR is perfect for...

2006 Subaru Impreza outback sport (wagon)

Date of Review:  Jun 27, 2009
The Bottom Line: A great winter car, grocery getter, cargo hauler. Just don't expect this car to generate much (if any) excitement at all.
Review: In 2006 I purchased a 2006 Subaru Impreza outback sport wagon. I traded in a 2002 Nissan Maxima, which is horrible in slippery conditions and I had a hard time finding good tires for it. I also foretold the coming of higher gas prices and wanted...

Fun AND Smart! -- 2.5i Sport Wagon

Date of Review:  Aug 31, 2006
The Bottom Line: Good value for the money, but not for everyone. If you want soft and quiet, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a fun car, then check it out.
Review: First off, let me say that my other car is a 2006 BMW 325i, so the bar is set pretty high for me. I say this because, while not quite up to the performance standards of a BMW, the Subaru does offer very good driving excitement for a lot less money!...
