Sporty and Practical

The Bottom Line: This car is great for me. It's roomy without being a behemoth or a gas hog (great news as gas prices have increased). I would recommend this car.
Review: Keep in mind that I've only had this car for about three months at this point. I'll write more after I've had it for longer. It is a used 1998 Forester which I bought in Feb 03. It had about 52k at time of purchase. Mine is a manual 5-speed.

Best Vehicle I've Owned

The Bottom Line: I don't think you can go wrong with the Forester. It consistently is ranked at the top by Consumers Digest.
Review: I bought the Forester because I had previously owned two other Subaru's and they both were remarkably dependable. In addition, Subaru's tend to be just a tad unique as well -- and I like to be a tad different than the normal crowd.

No decal spells problem

The Bottom Line: Being one of the first in a new model line could have made this car an issue. I have to think the new ones have had the bugs taken out.(?)
Review: I should have known this car was going to be a problem, when I went to buy it,none of the Foresters on the lot had the Forester decal on the side. In fact, they charged me for it when I took the car in for service the first time.
