Love IT!

After reading a review in the paper I went to see the new (98) Forester.
I wanted a SUV but had heard and seen horror stories about how easily they rolled over. At the time the Forester was the only SUV not required to have a rollover alert posted.

It was love at first sight. Not only does the Forester look great it handles like a dream. It's gutsy and handles curves really well. I had absolutely no adjustment period. It immediately was comfortable to drive.

My favorite features on the Forester are the many handy compartments and the optional air filter. After being out west on dirt roads I know how pervasive the dust and dirt can be. I don't want to be breathing it in for years later.

My only complaint about the Forester is the small back seat. Just a few inches more in length would create leg room for rear occupants without compromising cargo space.

The all-wheel drive is a definite plus. When many here were stuck by a record snow storm, the Forester got me around fine. The great crash ratings are always a plus.
